First time riding at the KPWT the judging critereas were a bit unfamiliar to me.  Not only wakestyle was important, even high boardoffs and kiteloops or stylish tricks like the jesus walk gave good points. The conditions on Sylt were really difficult to ride. Choppy water, onshore wind and a strong shorebrack made it hard to find a right takeoff, and a soft landing.  In the single I won my first heat against Ozog from Poland, losing the next against Antoine Auriol from France. In the double Bast from the Netherlands came up but I won this heat. Next round  I had to ride against Sebastian Bubmann. We both had a terrible heat crahing all our tricks but in the end he came further winning his next heat against Volpe and finally landing on the 7th place.  I’m not really confident with my heats because I could do better. But I’m really happy about so many german riders in the top ten. Mario Rodwald became first, Stefan Permien second, Bubi and Nils Wesch became 7th.

A local TV station made an short interview with Pascal Matzke as a organisator of the KPWt Sylt and me as a german rider. It’s been pretty early in the morning so maybe I look a bit tired ;) Sorry for the bad quality, because I just captured it with my Camera from the TV. I’ll get a better version soon, that I’ll post instead!

This year I want to create a longer, crazy movie. Here’s a short Trailer to get an impression. The movie will follow in around 2 months. I almost finished school now, just have got my oral exams on monday 15th. Because I became German Champion last year I got a Wildcard for the KPWT on Sylt from the 16th to 21st June. I think it will be a great event, so come around and have a look!
